Bvlgari Bvlgari, which became a collection back in 1977, heads off to take on the world this year by inviting us on a journey through a series of 9 timepieces. Each Bvlgari Bvlgari Cities Special Edition 2020 model, with its elegant and understatedly-contemporary style, follows a specific itinerary, split into 9 must-visit capital cities and agglomerations.
The cities selected are all related to the Italian brand’s history. Rome, Dubai, Tokyo, Paris, London, Ibiza, Milan, Mexico City and New York, the city that never sleeps. The name of each is individually engraved at the bottom of the bezel whilst the upper part adorns the wording Bvlgari.
The black DLC-coated steel case offers a 41 mm diameter. Its sapphire-crystal caseback gives us a glimpse of the manufacture’s automatic BVL191 caliber which delivers a power reserve of 42 hours. The black lacquered dial is set off with baton-style indexes and two elongated Arabic numerals hovered over by the hour, minute and second hands, all in rose gold. The date is featured in white on a black backdrop at 3 o’clock.
To ensure the imagination of whoever is lucky enough to wear a Bvlgari Bvlgari Cities Special Edition 2020 drifts off to distant lands, each model is accompanied by 12 unique art prints created by young artists and devoted to a city. Two interchangeable straps, one in chocolate calfskin and the other in black braiding-styled textured rubber, and an embossed black leather travel pouch complement the watch.
